Can courage be magiced into existence or bought?
All the writing on this web page are fiction. ... you should be able to guess that yourself,
I guess - but just to be on the safe side I thought I would state it loud and clear:
THIS IS STILL A STORY !!!!!
Tshe *o* Howdy, people *O* Please sit down and taste the fresh warm pizza. We have five
different flavours - pepperoni, tuna and shrimps, ham and bacon, ... Oh, you want me to start telling the story? Sure *o*
No problem *O* Let me see - where was I ... Oh, yes. Amaritza and I were flying towards the Emerald City of Oz. I could
feel that Amaritza was very curious as to what Johnny and I had been arguing about. But since I didnīt wanted her to dump
me unceremoniously - and rather dangerously too - while flying over the treetops I tried to skirt around the subject. Which
is difficult to do with a smart inquisitive dragon who is set on knowing what has happened to her darling boy. Did I mention
Amaritza is crazy about Johnny? Well, who isnīt *o* Eh, no, please donīt answer that question ... Letīs leave those
poor people in peace. They donīt know what they are missing after all -o* But Amaritza and I finally arrived
outside Oz. And Amaritza changed into her human form. She does that from time to time. So people will not notice
her, she says. Which sounds silly to me ... Seeing she is over six feet tall in her human form. Gorgeous looking. With flaming
red hair. Green eyes. Breast the size of ... But as Johnny usually giggles when she changes shape "At least she doesnīt
take up so much space looking like that" And I must admit - she is in great shape that way. The munchkins
- being only about three and four feet tall themselves - of course stared at her with their mouths hanging open, though -O* After
five minutes walk through the narrow crowded streets of Emerald City Amaritza and I entered the wizardīs palace.
An elderly thin man opened the door and presented himself as the butler. A Mr. Jackson. But same butler also
told us that the wizard wasnīt at home to visitors. Amaritza started rumbling that he was either home or not. But I had
heard that phrase before and calmly asked if there was anybody else we could talk to. And then simply asked whether or
not Johnny had been there. Describing him as a bit taller than me, slim, dark hair and eyes ... "Totally drop dead gorgeous
looking" Amaritza interrupted. ... now dragons are notoriously not that good at polite small talk. ... and being so powerful
as they are I can very well understand they donīt have to be. But it is irritating all the same !!! ... even when she
is perfectly right -o* "Oh, yes" Mr. Jackson nodded. Smiling for the first time and becoming decidedly friendlier
in his behavior towards us. "Very nice, polite young man, I must say. He wanted to see the wizard too. But ...
to be frank - my lord has been at a dinner with mayor Hopkins and bishop Carmichael today and he ... The
master was almost asleep on his feet when he returned from that. So he is taking a very long nap. ... somehow - after
hearing that the wizard wasnīt available right away - Johnny talked me into - I mean, Mr.. Depp, of course! I am so sorry,
Maīam!" Here I hurried to comfort the man. Saying "Johnny" was fine. That was what said Johnny liked to
be called any way so that was as it should be. "Yes, he said so himself" the butler agreed - smiling a little - and
then continued "Anyway - he persuaded me to let him wait in the kitchen. Said I might be able to help him instead since
I worked here and knew what lord Albemarle is capable off. And that he - Johnny, that is - was also a bit tired
and could use some coffee, a chair and a cigarette ..." Here Mr. Jackson had the decency to look embarrassed. The
wizard Albemarle - who is no more lord than you and I - is famous - or should I giggle IN-famous - for
not being able to magic himself out of a wet paper bag. And his fellow wizards doesnīt think that much of him. "He
isnīt capable of nothing!" Amaritza grumble. Again being right ... And not that polite. Or grammatically correct? But
I pretend not to hear her and asked "Do you happen to know what Johnny wanted the wizard to do for him?" Wishing at the
same time that dragons wasnīt so irritatingly - e-m-b-a-r-r-a-s-s-i-n-g-l-y - fond of the truth! Mr. Jackson looked nervously
at the tall female. Probably guessing what she really was by the small gusts of smoke coming out of her nostrils with
no help of a cigarette or some other tobacco product. Then he decided not to hear the insult to his master and answer me instead.
... brave man, come to think of it *o* "Johnny wanted to ask lord Albemarle to give him some courage. ... he said, he knew,
the wizard wasnīt able to give the lion some nerve, when he came to Oz with the rest of that little gang way back when.
"But that is so many years ago" Johnny said. And that there has been quite a lot of progress - invention and discoveries - in
magic since. ... and there has been. But I had to tell him he could not get courage that way ... "Why didnīt he ask Raist
- Raistlin Majere, that is. Or Merlin ... Fizban or - or Gandalf! One of the really GREAT wizards!!! Or ask the dragonsī
Magic Counsel ? They would have been quite happy to help him !" Amaritza was about to spit fire. What was her beloved
very smart Johnny thinking of!?! Going to a fifth rate magician, when he knew the great people. I smiled a bit. Thinking
my Johnny never did what one would expect him to do if he could help it. ... and at the same time I doubted any of the
above mentioned could have handle the trick. Give him courage magically, I mean. Well - maybe Fizban. Some said
he is really a god - in his spare time ... And maybe Raist could ... He was one amazing individual! But that
... sweet tease probably wouldnīt *o* Would say it wasnīt a magical problem. With his charming little crooked
smile. Then Mr. Jackson seems to feel he ought to defend both his master and his friend Johnny - as I said; a
brave man - by saying "Excuse me, Maīam ... (here he took a really deep breath. Dragons are dragons after all) ... as I also told
young master Johnny ... Courage canīt be magicked up like bunny rabbits out of a knitted cap. Or bought ... It comes from
the heart !! ... and I also told him I am sure he has plenty of heart and probably also courage already *o*" Yet
another man ... living creature -o* - fallen for my sweetīs colossal charm *O* Then he added "Johnny didnīt get mad
at all - as I had expected him to be, to be frank. Just nodded and said "Perhaps you are right. I think Meeps did try
to telling me something similar. But I was too mad to listen at the time ... Thought that what she really wants - but
is too polite to say out loud - is a real man ... Big and strong and manly and - and - and capable of kicking a
bit of ... You know!"" I sighed. It was exactly as I had feared. Here I was - loving my sweet, gentle cutie
pie - and his beautiful head seemed to be too thick at times to take that in. Sometimes, at least *o* To
realize that I do love him exactly as he is. Not that big - only moderately strong - just right *o* And
most of the time more interested in getting along rather than kicking anything. ... or anybody? Or anybody *O* "Unfortunately
- just after that - bishop Carmichaelīs stable hand Brent came in and sat down to shoot the breeze as he sometimes
does. And he told us he had just heard a story from a traveling shoemaker ... About a dragon called Yackatoota Jenkins.
Who is supposedly guarding a princess called something like ... Irma Husgood? At the Moonray Castle at Lake Seanazie
- thatīs about ten miles south of here. Of the Emerald City, I mean. And that dumbsky Brent unfortunately
used the words "It will be a brave man, who goes up against that there big gold dragon ..." ... and I am afraid our Joh
- eh - your Johnny took him up on the challenge ... He left to fight the dragon ... Saying as he left through the
back door something about even princesses needed to be free to smell the air and feel the sunshine or something like
that ..." Here I got so scared I had to sit down for a bit ... Most dragons are friendly creatures ... If you treat
them nice. Just like humans, I guess. But once in a while a dragon gets it into its head that it absolutely has
to guard a princess or a treasure or ... what ever. And then this dragon is ready to burn, maim or kill
anybody who wants to change that ... It makes me scared just thinking off it - considering what dragons are
able to do when they want ... Again just like humans, I guess. Could you please wait for more of the story until tomorrow
- so I could compose myself a bit? You could *o* ? Well, see you tomorrow then *O*
