Chapter eight.

After having gotten themselves untangled from all the pussilainiousses Billy Bob lead his friends over to his mother Mariya´s house. She had heard the commotion when they came in and were ready to greet him with a big hug. After that commotion was over and done with a blushing, but happy troll presented his friends for his mother
But Moosty was sure he must have heard wrongly though
"You are princess A-oodaq?" he ask the blond woman when he manage to close his mouth enough to speak. "Yes, why?" the woman said. And then added before he could answer "But I am a very poor princess so it won´t help anybody that much"
Moosty didn´t know quite what to say. So Lula asked Billy Bob in an ever so innocent tone "Your mother calls you Billagong?" A moment Billy Bob pretended to want to strangle the giggling piece of fur. Then he laughed too and said "Yes, you ... pussycat! My full name is Billagong Bobbinjay Murphy ... Go ahead and laugh, you silly critters. Can you blame me for preferring Billy Bob?"
His mother shook his head and said Billagong was a fine old name for a troll - there had even been a king named Billagong the Big-bellied once. But Mariya was also smiling at her charming son. He was her little boy never mind what he preferred to call himself
Other trolls came in and the talk centred on other subject. But Moosty quietly picked up Lula and carried her outside - telling her gently to shut up when she immediately started to purr
Outside he sat down on a rock with her on his lap and said firmly "I think you need to do some explaining, my fine furred friend. It seems I am completely ... something ... lost here ... If that woman in there - your friend - is princess A-oodaq then who was with Landorkin in the wood yesterday? It wasn't her! She is taller - thinner and her hair is a lighter tone ... I have a feeling you know. Landorkin knew you the moment he saw you - even though you are in fur, so ... You were in the wood - you are that adorable little ... Could you please put a poor troll out of his misery and explain?"
Lula licked herself thoughtfully on the chest for a moment. Then settled down more comfortable on Moosty´s lap and said "I am beginning to enjoy being a pussilainious. I love to be able to purr and I am way too fat a woman to sit on your - on people´s lap - like this when I am human. O.K. - O.K. I´ll explain! No need to pout ... Although that looks very cute indeed. Yes, I will shut up and explain. ... O.K. it was me you saw in the wood with Landorkin yesterday while you sat up in your tree. We fought about ... He wants to be somebody - and he had two plans; either marry A-oo - princess A-oodaq, that is - whom he was having a sort of an affair with. Or use magic to charm his way into the trolls´ confidence and then tell the duke or even better the emperor where the trolls´ main camp is. ... actually he might have decided to follow through on both plans since he and A-oo was out here just now ... After I tried to persuade him not to betray the trolls he got so very mad yesterday and tried to kill me ... Ups! I mean - after he turned me into a ... Moosty! Easy, sweetie ... You are very magical, my darling. But you have had no formal training in the use of magic and can´t fight a educated mage no matter how mad you are ... Although - that upper cut you delivered him before was marvellous"
Moosty realized Lula told him the truth here so he took some very deep breath and slowly the red fog before his eyes disappeared. He hugged Lula closer though and said with a broken voice "Tha-that bloody je-herk tri-tried to ki-kill you ... But why? You´re so sweet and beautiful and - and ...."
Here he thought back to how he had seen her in the wood the day before and added with firm conviction "And not at all FAT! ... just a bit round - but in all the right places. ... wizard or not! That Landorkin-shi .. guy will never get another chance at killing you as long as I am around!"
To confirm that promise Moosty gently kissed Lula´s pink nose
And suddenly he fell backwards down from the rock with a laughing woman in his arms "Oh, Moosty, you did it! You really did it!! We don´t need a Morant stone. Love is enough! Oh, my sweet little magically baby, you really did it. But then again "troll" means magic in the old language, doesn´t it. Oh, my sweet. You are a real "troldmand" - a magic "troll""
Finally Lula could kiss Moosty. And she certainly did so with a vengeance. People came running up to see what had happened. And a grinning Billy Bob helped the happy Lula and the even more happy, but rather embarrassed Moosty on their feet
Everybody wanted to know what had happened. Where was the pussilainious and who was this woman? Princess A-oodaq was happy her friend was back to her normal self. And Mariya decided that imperial troops or not this called for a celebration
And are there one thing trolls are good at it is partying
It is a great wonder that no troops of any kind heard the laughter and the singing which went on in the large caves underground. People yelled and screamed and sang and then yelled some more
Billy Bob himself at one point danced on the table until the poor piece of furniture broke down - whether in tears, laughter or pieces is anybody guess …
It was that kind of party
Moosty juggled with eggs and bottles. And after having drunk some of what was in those bottle he also juggle with torches and knives until Lula told him there would be no more kisses for him if he didn´t return to safer objects
Then Moosty made the former pussilainious blush by immediately putting the knives down and with a deep bow - and a large swing of an invisible hat - declaring "Your wish is my command, my adorable Goddess. I am become addicted to your kisses so wouldn´t want to miss a single sweet honey-flavoured one"
Not long after that statement A-oo saw her friend take her Moosty by the hand and lead him off to a room as far away from the partying as possible, And the princess smiled and went on singing so nobody would notice
Except for Billy Bob - but he is a romantic troll and approved whole heartedly too
